“ The Food was excellent. This was our first time having Haitian Cuisine - but for context we are Jamaican and Ghanaian so we understand what good seasoning and flavor. First off there is no printed menu, this to me says you're going to get what's fresh today. The lady at the front was very helpful. We told her this is our first time and asked for her recommendation. She suggested the the Fried Goat, Black Rice, and the fish (she recommended boiled - which is steamed fish in Jamaica). And we said yes! The goat was my favorite. Boiled first, then fried and well seasoned was how she explained it. And surely she was right. It was beyond flavorful. She suggested we have it as a side and it came with fried green plantain (tostones styled) which was perfect with the goat. And also a salad. The boiled fish was also delicious and a very close second. A different experience and absolutely excellent. Highly recommend. The black rice is a must. Very delicious. We took our meal to go. I don't think this is a sit down spot although they did have a small counter and stools so we could have eaten our food there also. If you're in Fort Lauderdale you must try Haitian Food and this place is a good place to start. I would suggest you call your order in ahead as they make the food on order fresh so we did have to wait. But well worth the wait. ”

“ My mom and I wanted to try Haitian food when visiting South Florida. I ordered curry chicken with rice and peas. My mom ordered turkey with rice and peas. Both dishes were seasoned very well and so tasty! The dishes also came with fried plantains. There was a bit of a language barrier but the staff there was friendly. It seems like a lot of locals come regularly for take out. ”
“ No lies told. The food here is really really good. I ordered the fried griot and the goat. Both were very delicious. The standout surprisingly was the goat but even more was the djon djon rice. Probably the best djon djon rice I've ever had in my life. I'm looking forward to trying the fried snapper and mac and cheese next. I'm only giving 4/5 stars due to the price. 2 meals was about $50 which is a bit on the expensive side for me ”

“ Whew! I am at a loss for words. I went in originally craving Tissot Turkey, but inquired about fried snapper because Haitians have the BEST SNAPPER hands down and left wowed. Clay assisted me with my order from start to finish and was simply amazing. We often take customer service for granted nowadays but his was top tier. Ok, back to the food! I first stumbled upon this restaurant from an instagram post and super happy I did. This was my second time trying this restaurant which is located in the heart of the Fort Lauderdale area. When I pulled up, I immediately thought the restaurant was closed but Clay warned me that business picks up fast and it did. Orders are cooked to order so the wait is worth it. I waited at the most 20mins for my order. 1 pikliz is included in your order hit I am a pikliz lover so I asked for additional which was complimentary. I was provided with a preview of my order when it came out which looked delish and rated even better!!! 5/5 for sure!! I order the fried snapper simp which included fried tostones and salad and griot simp which includes the same sides. CHECK THEM OUT!! You will not be disappointed. ”
“ I'm a new Florida resident and being from southern California I'd never had Haitian food before. I'd been to few Haitian spots since I moved to Fort Lauderdale but Belle's is the best. It's fairly new, it just opened this year from what I was told. All the staff is extremely personable and always greets me with warmth and appreciation. How convenient that it's right down the street from my house, too. I took my Haitian friend here before and he even approves of those extra thick plantains, YUM.
